Patrick Joseph J. Fox
Geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering.
Professor Fox expertise in the following areas: slope stability, retaining walls, groundwater, consolidation, geosynthetics, landfills, foundation engineering, soil dynamics, and earthquake engineering.
Capsule Bio:
Dr. Fox has a broad range of expertise in geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering and has published over 130 technical papers on his research. He has won awards for teaching and research, including several from the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and is currently Editor-in-Chief of the ASCE Journal of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering. Dr. Fox also serves as Editorial Board Member for Geosynthetics International and the ASCE International Journal of Geomechanics, Member and Past Chair of the Technical Publications Committee of the ASCE Geo-Institute, and Chair of the recent GeoFlorida 2010 ASCE GeoCongress. Dr. Fox is a licensed professional engineer.
